Yes! Most of our wigs have lightly bleached knots for a natural look. We avoid heavy bleaching since it can damage the hair and cause shedding — your wig’s longevity always comes first.

Yes! Our hairlines look super natural. With our bespoke service, we create a hairline tailored to each woman, since everyone’s hairline is unique. Even with our core collection, each wig comes with soft, minimal baby hairs for a natural finish.

Our core collection pieces come with a standard medium-sized cap that can be easily adjusted using the strap at the back. With our bespoke service, you can choose your exact cap size, and we’ll tailor it perfectly to fit your head for a comfortable, perfect fit.

Density refers to the thickness of the hair piece. All our pieces come in a standard 130% density, though with our bespoke service, you can choose a density anywhere from 110% to 180% to suit your preference.

In our core collection, you can choose between smooth or wavy textures (check out the images on the product page for reference). With our bespoke service, the choice is yours — from straight and wavy to coily or afro, we can create the perfect texture for you.

Yes! Our Swiss transparent lace suits all complexions. With our bespoke service, you can also choose a naturally darker lace shade if you prefer, ensuring the perfect match for your skin tone.

If you are experiencing hair loss due to medical reasons (e.g., alopecia or cancer), you are medically exempt from paying VAT. However, if you’re wearing a wig for fashion or other non-medical reasons, VAT will apply.

Your new hair will be with you in 8-12 weeks. After your order has been placed, your AJ piece will be sent to our team to be coloured and cut to create your unique style.  We will send you updates at each stage of the process and notify you when your parcel has been shipped 😊 Please note we do not cover import taxes or fees

Your hair piece will arrive in our beautiful bespoke packaging with a cotton bag for safe storage.  We will also send a link to our 'how-to' videos for all of Amber's tips and tricks! 

All our hair pieces are coloured by hand so you may notice subtle variations in colour as explained on our product pages.

Yes, of course! Our pieces are made with ethically sourced real human hair, so they can be washed and styled as you wish. For tips on caring for your hair piece, head to the guidance section on our website. Please note: we don’t recommend wearing your wig in chlorine pools, as this can dry out the hair and affect its color.

You only need tape or glue if you’re wearing a full lace hair piece. For all other cap constructions, no tape or glue is required — we recommend using our velvet bands, which you can find on our website.

Yes — all of our wigs are secure. Just follow the guidance on our website for the best way to wear them, and rest assured, your wig isn’t going anywhere!

Your hair piece can last around 2 years with proper care. After 8–12 months, you may need a refresh or maintenance, which we offer here at Amber Jean. For full care tips, head to our guidance section.

Yes! For a small fee, we offer a repair service so that when natural wear and tear happens, your favorite hair can be restored in safe hands. Repairs generally take 3–4 weeks, depending on the severity of the shedding or the work required.

You can rent a wig for 3, 7, or 14 days. Longer rentals may be available upon request — simply reach out to our customer care team for bespoke arrangements.

Each wig comes with clear care and return instructions, plus pre-paid packaging for easy returns. We ask that wigs are returned in good condition by the agreed date to avoid late fees.

Yes! We’ve chosen a cap construction that works for everyone — whether you have full hair, partial hair loss, or no hair at all. All of our rental pieces use this cap, so it will work for you.
