Amber Jean is an Irish model, actress, entrepreneur and advocate for beauty equality. Losing her hair to alopecia aged 15, Amber struggled to find practical and emotional support to guide her through her hair loss journey. It simply wasn’t good enough. In 2020, Amber founded Amber Jean and made it her mission to revolutionise the wig industry, to give women going through hair loss a joyful, safe and supportive space to shop consciously sourced quality hair pieces, products and accessories designed to enhance a hair free life.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Operations & Customer Service Assistant with a passion for hair and beauty to join our team in London Fields. With enthusiasm for our brand and a strong connection to our purpose, you will report into our Operations Manager and work closely with our Founder and Marketing Manager, to ensure the seamless operation of the Amber Jean Space. Your main responsibilities will include office maintenance, operations, customer service & marketing support as well as general administrative tasks. Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the team with any administrative tasks
  • Assist our operations manager with PO creation and ordering from our suppliers when needed
  • Manage our customer service email and reply to customer queries in a timely manner
  • Organise and fulfil customer orders and shipments through shopify
  • Organise orders that come in from suppliers & quality control checking them
  • General studio maintenance e.g. organising the cleaner, ensuring stock is put away
  • Complete weekly stock checks and update shopify or excel with stock levels
  • Check through supplier deliveries against packing lists
  • Organise and send out PR packages & client gifting
  • Respond to comments on social media platforms e.g. Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
  • Respond to PR requests
  • Assist with organising events and ordering branded materials e.g. POS/posters/printing
  • Organise travel/accommodation arrangements
  • At hand to assist the founder & management team where needed

Criteria:

  • London based
  • At least one year’s experience within a general assistant, operations and/or customer service role
  • Experience working within the beauty space
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong team player, able to work cross-functionally as well as work on own initiative
  • Strong IT skills
